Freak S

What, at first glance, resemble the turboprops on a rocket are in fact twin oscillators connected by a differential. So as to ensure sufficient energy to power them both, the developers at Ulysse Nardin have equipped this Freak S with the Grinder automatic winding system, which is twice as efficient as conventional winding. The Freak concept of a watch with no dial, no hands and no crown is still very much in evidence. A carrousel mounted on a baguette movement turns on its central axis to indicate minutes while hours are shown on a rotating disc. Power reserve for this Freak S, whose two balance wheels run at 18,000 vibrations/hour, is 72 hours.
