Giga Tourbillon with Gem-Set Bridge

Franck Muller introduces a new world first with this model on which the upper bridge and the rotating carriage of its tourbillon are gem-set. No less than six months of development went into fine-tuning this technical feat that had to be designed in such a way that the gem-setting would not be detrimental to the performances of the regulating organ. To achieve this, the engineers of the Manufacture opted for a grain setting featuring diamonds actually set across the frame and thereby minimising both its thickness and its weight. Equipped with four barrels ensuring a nine-day power reserve, the Giga Tourbillon is made from titanium, a material serving to optimise the elasticity coefficient and thus ensure enhanced resistance and shock-absorbance.
