Héritage Chronométrie ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph Vasco da Gama

Montblanc pays tribute to Vasco da Gama with this sixty-piece limited edition. The patented ExoTourbillon, thus named for the balance which oscillates outside the cage, joins a monopusher chronograph with semi-spherical counters and a date function, shown by a hand positioned under the hour and minute hands. So as to further highlight the affiliation between this watch and the famed navigator, the aventurine dial emulates the night sky over the southern hemisphere, hinting at the stars that would have guided da Gama in his explorations. The sapphire back is adorned with a depiction of the São Gabriel, while the 60 watches in this limited edition make reference to the ship's sixty-man crew.
