Insight Micro-Rotor Lady Opal

Men no longer have the monopoly on the Insight Micro-Rotor, which the independent watchmaker introduced in 2017. This 39.5mm Lady version is Romain Gauthier's debut women's watch, first presented in 2018 with shimmering white or black mother-of-pearl. It returns this year swathed in Australian crystal opal on the hour-minutes subdial at 12 o'clock and on the small seconds subdial in the centre, exhibiting flashes of pink, green, purple and turquoise. Developed and made by Manufacture Romain Gauthier, the movement is open to view, not least the bi-directional micro-rotor and the two barrels which provide 80 hours of power reserve. True to its name, this Lady Micro-Rotor offers insight into a mechanism which, like the case that surrounds it, has been finished to superlative standards.
