Les Roses Carrées "Collection Grand Feu" Rosa Céleste

For its 25th anniversary, Parmigiani Fleurier released a unique pocket watch, the Rose Carrée, whose movement was an authentic Louis-Elisée Piguet grand sonnerie calibre which had been fully restored at the Parmigiani workshop. This special project now has a sequel in the form of five equally unique minute repeaters, representing the pinnacle of the brand’s collections. First in the series, unveiled at end 2022, the Rosa Celeste demonstrates consummate craftsmanship in its decoration and its complication movement. The hunter back of the 42mm case in white gold has been engraved with a “Rose Carrée” (square rose) motif and is framed by its own bezel. Like the dial, it is embellished with blue Grand Feu enamel. This same rose motif is engraved into the caseband, lugs and both the front and back bezels in an algorithmic progression. Line by line, the metal is hand-cut with a chisel – with no room for error. The manual-winding movement is the PF 335 minute repeater on cathedral gongs. These gongs go one and a half times around the movement to produce a richer, more sustained chime.
