The strikingly graphic Octo case encloses a delicately skeletonised movement that reveals every bit of its complex architecture. Each component has been meticulously chased and sculpted to leave nothing but the absolute essential. Despite the multitude of detail - testimony to the watchmakers' painstaking work - the complexity of the movement in no way detracts from the sobriety of the watch. Its contemporary nature comes through in the jet-black surface of the plate and bridges, which are also chamfered and circular-brushed. The eye wanders through the intricacies of a movement that measures hours, minutes and small seconds with absolute precision, and indicates its 65-hour power reserve. Among all this black, pink gold for the bezel adds a precious touch.
