The Bulgari Octo Finissimo has etched itself onto every watch enthusiast’s mind, as much for its distinctive design as for the multiple “world’s thinnest” records it holds. This latest rendition is no exception to the rule, housing the new BVL 199 SK calibre, 2.50mm high, inside a case that is 5.95mm high. However, Bulgari’s engineers have worked an additional characteristic into this manual-winding skeleton movement displaying hours, minutes and small seconds. The clue is in the name: the Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days will run for 192 hours or eight days, indicated on a gauge whose arc shape follows the curve of the seconds subdial. The watch’s technical qualities are further highlighted by the contrast between the rose gold of the 40mm case and the sandblasted matte anthracite bridges.
