Senator Observer

In the early 20th century, Glashütte was renowned for its accurate observation watches that were reliable even in extreme conditions and produced by Julius Assmann. They were adopted by marine officers, pilots and explorers such as Roald Amundsen. In 2012, as a tribute to this glorious past, Glashütte launched the Senator Observer collection of watches that – unlike the original models – are equipped with self-winding movements. Introduced in a 44 mm-diameter steel case, the new version provides a highly legible display of the hours, minutes, small seconds, power reserve and the brand’s signature large date. It is also enhanced with Superluminova, particularly on the vintage-style Arabic numerals.
