Square Micro-Rotor Retro
The Art Deco tenets of clean lines, geometric shapes and graphic stylisation underpin two fresh interpretations by Laurent Ferrier of the Square Micro-Rotor. Both versions — one in steel with a silvery-white dial and one in red gold paired with a charcoal grey dial — feature Arabic or “pilot” numerals on an architectural hour circle. The Square case houses the FNB 229.01 movement powering hours, minutes and small seconds. Automatic winding is by a unidirectional pawl-fitted micro-rotor that delivers three days of power reserve. A further particularity of the movement is the direct impulse silicon escapement which impels the balance twice per oscillation, thereby maximising energy efficiency.
