Car-racing enthusiasts Laurent Ferrier and François Servanin founded the Laurent Ferrier brand in 2009 after competing multiple times – seven, for Laurent Ferrier – in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Tourbillon Grand Sport is named in reference to this passion for motor sports. At 44mm in diameter, it makes a statement with its wide, cushion-shaped bezel above a taupe-coloured dial with contrasting luminescent orange hands and indexes. In true Laurent Ferrier style, the design emphasises smooth lines with character. The tourbillon, visible only through the sapphire caseback so as to preserve the clean aesthetic, carries small seconds. Two balance springs, mounted head-to-tail, offset the lateral displacement of the balance staff. Certified by Besançon Observatory, this manual-wind movement also marks the tenth anniversary of Laurent Ferrier's first ever tourbillon. Proposed as a limited edition of 12 pieces.
