Tradition Tourbillon 7047
Marking the date that Abraham-Louis Breguet was awarded the patent for his tourbillon in 1801, Breguet presents a new Tradition 7047 whose fusee-chain tourbillon mechanism is highlighted in blue. Different treatments were used to create a uniform shade across the various components. A fusee-chain tourbillon ensures the watch runs with optimum regularity by delivering constant torque regardless of how fully the watch is wound. Breguet has further improved this function by incorporating silicon for the escapement horns and the Breguet balance spring. As is customary for a watch in the Tradition collection, the movement parts are on the dial side – an architecture borrowed from the subscription and à tact watches of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s day.
