This 1858 Automatic 24H sits perfectly with the theme of exploration and adventure inherent to the 1858 collection, which returns to the military and explorer watches produced by Minerva, now part of Montblanc. In addition to showing hours and minutes on a 24-hour scale by means of a single central hand, it doubles up as a compass, hence the peripheral scale with markers for five-degree intervals. Simply direct the hand towards the sun and the cardinal points on the compass scale will be correctly aligned. Luminescence is an important feature of the dial. In daylight, a map of the Northern Hemisphere stands out; at night, the Arabic numerals and central hand take over for easy reading of the time. The watch is mounted on a NATO strap with pin buckle.
