Neo Bridges
Girard-Perregaux returns to its iconic three gold bridges with a futuristic version that lends a distinctly contemporary colour to the watchmaker's legacy. Usually associated with a tourbillon, this time the Manufacture's signature bridge holds a large, variable-inertia balance wheel whose oscillations are a sight to behold. A second bridge completes the modern architecture of this Neo Bridges. Carrying on this impressive composition, the micro-rotor and mainspring barrel are symmetrically positioned and take up the top half of the titanium case. This technically assertive ensemble is brought to the fore by a large, 45-mm case in titanium with alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces. The visual codes advocated by Constant Girard, maker of the Esmeralda pocket watch that claimed a first prize at the 1889 Paris World Fair, remain the centre of attention. More contemporary than ever…
