Tank Américaine

Launched in 1989, the Tank Américaine quotes the curved shape of the Tank Cintrée. It also introduced the first adjustable strap to be fitted with the deployant buckle that Cartier patented in 1910. For the 2023 rendition, Cartier has reinforced this curved form with a leaner, more refined case and lugs that flow seamlessly to the strap. Fitted with the new 1899 MC movement, an ideal choice for slimmer cases, the Large Tank Américaine is cased in steel or, shown here, rose gold on a grey alligator strap. This is one of three sizes available, in steel or gold, with the option of diamonds. Large models are powered by a mechanical movement while the Mini and Small models are fitted with quartz movements.
