We’ve extended an invitation to professional wrist roller and founder of @superniche.studios — home of @wristcheckpod — Perri Dash. He shared with us five key inspirations that drive his passion for the world of watchmaking.Discover what fuels his horological journey:

Design - I love design. It’s part of what keeps me engaged with watches—especially vintage. It’s a story of evolution, passing from hand to hand, refining over time. Take look at George Daniels and his design language, then Daniel Roth’s journey from Breguet to independent watchmaking. That kind of legacy is why this Seconds on Six piece is a favorite in my collection right now.

Music - Music is woven into every part of my life. I collect vinyl—House, Jazz, Reggae, Hip Hop—and choose what I listen to the same way I choose a watch: it all depends on the mood. The sounds, the energy, the storytelling—they all inspire me. Lately, I’ve been diving into a lot of Barrington Levy—one of the most distinctive voices in reggae.

Art - Art has always been a big part of my life. Before I got serious about watches, I was collecting art and even spent time curating gallery shows in downtown NYC. While I no longer curate, I still collect, with pieces filling my home and office—including a triptych of a young man in his Oldsmobile Cutlass, which you can spot on the set of Wrist Check Pod. We came across this piece while filming Brushh, a show we’re developing about the art world, with artist Taylor Simmons. The moment he showed it to us, we knew it belonged in the studio—it just felt like us.

WCP - Speaking of WCP, after three years of building the brand organically through events and content, we finally got our own studio—a milestone moment for us. Our own space to create and share with others. From there, we launched Super Niche.

Super Niche is more than a platform; it’s about bridging the gap between culture and craft. It’s about celebrating, informing, and inspiring—whether through horology, art, or the spaces where they intersect.
