The Corum Bubble, introduced in 2000, broke ranks with conventional watchmaking.

Designed by Severin Wunderman, it took inspiration from vintage diving watches but pushed the concept further with an oversized case and a domed sapphire crystal that magnifies and distorts the dial, giving it a surreal, almost dreamlike effect.

The Bubble initially buzzed and particularly in the hip-hop game.

Its dials became a space for creative experimentation.

Collaborations with artists like Erik Parker and Julien Marinetti brought bold, unconventional visuals—psychedelic patterns, skulls, clowns, and abstract art—making each piece feel like a collector’s item.

The thick sapphire crystal wasn’t just functional; it added depth and drama, making the Bubble instantly recognizable.

Polarizing yet unmistakable, the Bubble stands as a reminder that watch design can be daring, playful, and entirely unbound by tradition. The Corum Bubble has been developed in many different sizes materials and dial choices and perfectly represent the spirit of the early 2000’s, will it be a future classic, we’ll let you be the judge ;)
