In 1983, the watchmaking industry witnessed a world first: CORUM presented the Golden Bridge, a watch with a delicately hand-engraved baguette movement.

A genius watchmaker, Vincent Calabrese, designed a movement with linear gears, set in the middle of a transparent case and isolated in a space with no visible hinges.

The Golden Bridge’s baguette movement is suspended inside the case, creating the illusion that it floats freely. This design requires extreme precision, as the slightest misalignment can affect the way the watch functions.

The engineering and craftsmanship behind this mechanism are a testament to Corum’s watchmaking excellence.

Since its introduction, the Golden Bridge has evolved while retaining its iconic and recognisable design. In 2009, Corum introduced an automatic version of the legendary baguette movement, christened « Ti-Bridge ». This version uses titanium for the movement and case, adding a modern touch while retaining the essence of the original model.
