Launched in 2017 and fitted with the 670P calibre, Piaget’s Altiplano Flying Tourbillon was a celebration of the brand’s 60 years of expertise in the creation of ultra-thin movements that began in 1957 with the 9P and its two-millimetre height. Three years later, in 2020, the 670P, just 4.6mm high, returns in the Altiplano Infinite Blue, a trio of limited editions which Piaget is reserving for Chinese watch enthusiasts. All three iterations feature a midnight blue sunburst lacquer dial and the flying tourbillon movement inside a 41mm white gold case. Together, the tourbillon at 2 o’clock and the hour and minute subdial at 8 o’clock form the infinity symbol whose contours are accentuated with brilliant-cut diamonds. More diamonds are set on the bezel, lugs and clasp. The other two references differ by the diamond settings.
