Antarctique Rattrapante Ice Blue

Czapek has released a new Ice Blue version of its skeletonised split-seconds chronograph. The traditionally blued hands make a beautiful match for the weave of metallic greys inside the watch. A closer look reveals the fumé blue shimmer of the minute track and of the outer tracks of the two totalizers. This effect is produced by treating sapphire crystal with metal oxides through an evaporation process. The chrono hand and the “60” at 12 o’clock add a pop of red to the dial. Developed in collaboration with Chronode, the Czapek SHX6 movement opts for a horizontal rather than a vertical clutch as this highlights the aesthetics of the transmission.
