When Lang & Heyne developed the Georg, its first ever rectangular timepiece, shown at last year's Baselworld, the Dresden watchmaker already had plans to incorporate a tourbillon. This is mission accomplished with the introduction at this year's Basel fair of the Anton: Lang & Heyne's first ever tourbillon regulator, and a flying tourbillon to boot. The cage measures a generous 11.10mm in diameter and also indicates the seconds. The Anton's aesthetic is unabashedly classical, from the hands and the Grand Feu enamel dial to the railroad minute track and the Art Deco font of the Arabic numerals. The reverse side reveals the equally enchanting view of the uncluttered movement architecture and symmetrically positioned bridges. The Anton watch is available in platinum or in 18k pink gold.
