Arceau Le Temps voyageur
Hermès reprises its collaboration with Chronode, already behind the Arceau L’Heure de la lune, and the concept of a satellite display for this Arceau Le Temps voyageur. This time, Chronode has developed a 122-component additional module for the Hermès 1837 movement. Hours and minutes are shown on a mobile counter that literally travels around the dial. Home time appears in a window at 12 o’clock while local time is set using a pusher to align the subdial, and its red pointer, with one of the 24 world cities, one for each major time zone, which are inscribed on a circular disc. The galvanised, laser-engraved and lacquered dial is decorated with the fictious world map that Jérôme Colliard imagined for the equine-inspired “Planisphère d’un monde équestre” silk scarf.
