Arceau Mon Premier Galop
Leather marquetry, silk threads and miniature painting come together on the Arceau Mon Premier Galop, whose whimsical dial borrows from a silk scarf by artist Tong Ren. In a jigsaw-like assembly of 30 pieces, a horse takes its first steps across sand, accompanied by a butterfly, while the sun peeks between the clouds. The sun and the sky are crafted in enamel, forming a radiant blue backdrop for the horse, whose silhouette interweaves silk threads with fragments of leather which have been trimmed to just half a millimetre thick. Assembled one by one on the dial, threads and leather form a colourful tableau, finished with a tiny, mobile applique in hand-painted gold. A limited edition of 24 pieces, this métiers d'art watch takes shape in a 38mm white gold case, surrounded by 82 diamonds. Keeping time throughout its 50 hours of power reserve is the H1912 manufacture movement, 3.7mm thick and beating at 28,800 vibrations/hour.
