Arceau Squelette

Designed by Henri d'Origny in 1978, the Arceau watch with its asymmetrical stirrup-shaped lugs, round case and sloping font has grown into a classic Hermès watch. This skeleton version adds a fresh twist, courtesy of a smoked sapphire crystal dial. Coloured black around the edge, its centre is transparent to reveal the inner workings of the mechanical movement beneath. The bridges, anthracite gears and skeletonised oscillating weight add to this lightness of being. Meanwhile, silver numerals underscored by dots for the minute track draw the eye into the depths of time.
