Cosmic Real Moon Joure Green Meteorite

The latest creation from Christiaan van der Klaauw, helmed since 2009 by Dutch designer Daniël Reintjes, is a “cosmic” fusion of the world’s most accurate three-dimensional moon-phase mechanism with a green meteorite dial. Cased in a 40mm diameter in steel, pink gold or white gold, with or without diamonds on the bezel, this interpretation of a three-dimensional moon-phase fits perfectly with the brand’s astronomical bent. Knowing that the Moon orbits Earth in 29.30588853 days, the mechanism developed by Christiaan van der Klaauw rotates the hand-finished spherical moon with such remarkable precision that after 11,000 years it will be “out” by just one single day. This is a record for a moon-phase display in a mechanical watch.
