Patek Philippe offers its interpretation of “elegant sporty” style with the Cubitus, whose original geometry blends square, round and octagonal shapes. In addition to its square bezel with rounded corners, the Cubitus case also stands out for its attachments, one on each side, and its two-part construction of back/caseband and bezel, with the movement inserted from the front. A 45mm diameter combines with the elegance of a slender 9.6mm-high profile. Other distinctive features include horizontal relief embossing on the dial and contrasting finishes, with vertical satin-brushing on the flat of the bezel and the front of the case, and polished surfaces on the bezel’s chamfer and case flanks. This new Cubitus collection launches with three models: Ref. 5822 with instantaneous grand date, day and moon phases, and two Ref. 5821 with hours, minutes, seconds and date: one in steel with an integrated bracelet and olive green sunburst dial, and one in steel and rose gold with an integrated bracelet and blue sunburst dial. Both these time-and-date models are water-resistant to 30 metres and fitted with the 26-330 S C automatic movement with a stop-seconds function. The horizontal pattern on the gold oscillating weight mirrors that of the dial. The bracelet in steel and rose gold benefits from a lockable size-adjustment system and a patented deployant clasp, secured by four independent catches.
