Escale Worldtime

The Worldtime, which simultaneously indicates 24 time zones, has been a defining model for the Escale collection since its debut in 2014. This is the first execution of this complication in platinum with a 40mm case. The distinctive dial displays 24 flags representing major world cities. Each one is inspired by historic Louis Vuitton motifs and hand-painted. It takes an entire week to craft a single dial, with colours dried in a kiln between applications. The Escale Worldtime is powered by the new LFT VO 12.01 calibre, a jumping-hour movement that is manufactured by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. The time in 24 time zones is easily read, with both the reference city and the time conveniently adjusted by the crown. Running at 4 Hz, this automatic calibre provides 62 hours of power reserve.
