Flyback Chronograph with Annual Calendar 5905/1A

Launched in 2015 in platinum, followed in 2019 by a pink gold version, Reference 5905 offers a combination of two useful complications: a flyback chronograph with automatic winding, column wheel and vertical clutch, and a patented annual calendar. It now returns centre-stage in steel – a rare occurrence in Patek Philippe’s production – on a triple-link integrated bracelet. Also new is the olive green colour of the sunburst dial, which ensures excellent legibility for the additional functions: the central chronograph hand, a large 60-minute totalizer at 6 o’clock, and three apertures for the annual calendar’s date, day and month, arranged in an arc. There is also a day/night indicator for accurate setting of the date, discreetly positioned at 6 o’clock. A concave bezel and recessed sides bring originality to the case construction. This new execution in steel joins existing models in platinum with a blue dial and in pink gold with a brown dial.
