The Galet name is intimately linked to Laurent Ferrier, as it designates his first collection of cushion-shaped watches, introduced in 2010 and so-called for the soft lines of the case that sits in the palm of the hand like a smooth pebble (galet in French). This model is equipped with the self-winding FNB 229.01 calibre, the third by Laurent Ferrier, which features a silicon escapement with double direct impulse on the balance. This type of construction, combined with hi-tech materials, maximises energy efficiency while guaranteeing a high amplitude for the balance. This variant in the Galet range revisits the Art Deco aesthetic in its dial, which features a ring that extends into the hour-markers and is coated in beige Superluminova, a vertical satin finish, and a snailed small-seconds subdial.
