Iced Sea 0 Oxygen Deep 4810
Debuting in 2022, Montblanc's Iced Sea dive watches are modelled on the Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice), which is the main glacier of the Mont Blanc massif. This inspiration is nowhere clearer than in the glacier pattern on the gratté-boisé dial and the laser-engraved case back. In 2024 Montblanc continues to push the boundaries of the collection with the introduction of the Iced Sea Oxygen Deep 4810. Built for underwater exploration, it is engineered to withstand pressure equivalent to 4,810 metres below sea level (as deep as Mont Blanc is high). A noticeable feature of this model is the complete absence of oxygen inside the 43mm titanium case. This eliminates fogging and prevents oxidation. The view seen by divers venturing under the ice is engraved in colour on the back of the case, using a technique that achieves exceptional depth and realism. Once the relief of the design has been laser-engraved, combining matte and gloss finishes, colour is added by laser oxidation. The movement is the automatic MB 29.29 which has COSC chronometer rating. Running at 28,800 vibrations/hour and with five days of power reserve, it drives displays of hours, minutes, seconds and date. An adjustable strap adds the final touch.
