Imperiale
Caroline Scheufele, Chopard co-president and artistic director, presented the Imperiale to the world in Venice in 2010. Since then, the collection has grown with more métiers d'art models, not least a tourbillon and a moon phase. Both of the new additions in 2024 measure 36mm in diameter and are crafted from ethical gold, with diamonds on the bezel, lug covers, cabochons and crown. On the dial of one of the models, a raised white gold filet is filled with white cloisonné enamel against a rich blue-green enamel background. Padparadscha sapphires criss-cross pink mother-of-pearl flowers to complete this delightful tableau. Sword-shaped hands are driven by Chopard's 96-17-C movement, which can be seen through the case back. Comprising 167 components, it provides 65 hours of power reserve thanks to twin barrels. Complementing the whole is an alligator strap in a blue-green shade to match the dial.
