Created for the J12's twentieth anniversary, the Paradoxe takes both of the watch's signature colours and combines them in a single ceramic case. This unique aesthetic also represents a technical tour de force as it means cutting then fusing two parts of different dimensions and colours: one white and the other black. They are then assembled on a metal frame and a sapphire crystal inserted for the caseback. This eyecatching architecture continues on the dial and the bezel, which are tampographed with one colour then the other. Keeping the beat is Calibre 12.1 – an in-house movement manufactured for Chanel by Kenissi and one of the major innovations introduced last year in the new J12, ahead of its anniversary.
