Girard-Perregaux returns to the origins of the Laureato which, barely more than forty years after its launch, takes top billing again. The Laureato lays claim to the design that ensured its success. Then as now, it features steel, a distinctive hexagonal bezel, baton hands and a dial which, like the very first renditions in 1975, is stamped with a chequerboard design made from tiny Clous de Paris motifs. While the "class of 2016" version is more contemporary from an aesthetic point of view, its movement is traditional. Instead of the quartz calibre of the 1970s, this Laureato is driven by a new-generation, in-house movement, the stamp of excellence.
