Longitude Titanium
Necessarily sober and functional in their design and construction, John Arnold's marine chronometers were built to contend with conditions at high sea. Arnold & Son has transposed this seafaring legacy in the Longitude Titanium; a contemporary iteration that interprets a refined design in highly resistant materials. The movement's COSC chronometer certification adds an essential element to this tableau in a continuation of John Arnold's pursuit of precision. The curves and profile of the Longitude's titanium case are inspired by contemporary sailing boats. A power-reserve indicator aligns vertically with subsidiary seconds for perfect symmetry against the backdrop of an Ocean Blue, Fern Green or Kingsand gold dial, the latter a limited edition of 88. The oscillating weight of the new A&S6302 calibre suggests the prow of an eighteenth-century English frigate, while graduations along its rim echo those on a sextant, confirming the watch's maritime inspirations.
