Of all brands, Panerai is without doubt the one that has stayed closest to its roots. Established in 1860, it supplied watches to the Italian navy during the twentieth century and continues to propose just two styles: the Radiomir and the Luminor. In 2018, the Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic – introduced two years ago as a classic alternative to larger cases – comes as a 42mm diameter and, for the first time, 38mm. This is also the first appearance in the collection of a date aperture. As on all Luminor watches, a crown guard protects against accidental knocks. This new Luminor Due Automatic is powered by Panerai's own OP XXXIV automatic calibre with a three-day power reserve - the minimum for any of the brand's in-house movements. It is proposed in steel or red gold with a choice of black or white dial.
