Since 1988, Chopard and the legendary Mille Miglia classic car race have shared the same love of performance and fine mechanics. Once again, the watchmaker builds on this historic bond to illustrate its passion for automobiles with a limited-edition timepiece. A vintage mood is de rigueur this year in an imposing model whose dial is designed to resemble a dashboard counter. This Mille Miglia 2016 XL Race Edition sports a 46-mm steel case, making it the biggest chronograph in the collection, and all the more legible for it. Shot through with natural sport-chic, the black dial with tachymeter scale contains the chronograph hours and minutes counters, a date display, and a red centre seconds hand. Under the hood of this 1,000-piece limited edition lies a new Chopard calibre whose extreme precision is guaranteed by COSC certification.
