The TimeWalker collection is first into the bend with a giant-sized chronograph that makes no secret of its motor-racing origins. Far from it, for this is no less than a pure reinterpretation of the famous Minerva Rally Timer. Mounted on a calfskin strap, it easily converts into a pocket watch which can also be set on a desk or attached to a car dashboard to read time from behind the wheel. With a titanium case measuring an imposing 50 mm in diameter, this isn't a watch for the faint of wrist. Montblanc has put considerable thought into the dial layout for maximum legibility, and has aligned the large 30-minute counter with the small seconds subdial. Racing fans in particular will appreciate the highly visible red chrono seconds hand that runs along the tachymeter scale to calculate speed.
