After the thinnest tourbillon watch in the world, Bulgari takes on one of the ultimate horological complications and presents the thinnest minute-repeater on the market. With a movement whose height does not exceed 3.12 mm and a case 6.85 mm thick, this Octo presents a remarkably slender profile. The greatest challenge, however, was to attain excellent quality of sound within such a small space. Bulgari achieved this by housing the manual-winding movement in a titanium case. Titanium is renowned not just as a very lightweight metal but also because it enables optimal diffusion of the sound in a striking watch. Furthermore, the hour-markers are cut out of the titanium dial so as to amplify resonance inside the case: a stroke of genius which also has the advantage of emphasising the ultra-contemporary aesthetic of this 50-piece limited edition.
