Octo Finissimo Tadao Ando Limited Edition

Bulgari has joined forces with the Japanese architect Tadao Ando for what is a most contemplative way to display the time. Set inside an engraved spiral, a crescent moon — the first stage of the next full moon — represents the transitory nature of time, but is also intended as a symbol of hope and a prosperous future. The time spiral uncoils on a deep blue lacquered background from the base of the seconds hand, while the gold crescent moon sits at 5 o’clock. With these simple yet striking graphic elements, Tadao Ando expresses his vision of time on a limited-edition watch made from black ceramic that features the architect’s signature on its transparent caseback.
