Pelagos FXD
Designed with input from French Navy combat swimmers, this Pelagos FXD incorporates a number of functional features of importance to professional divers, starting with the fixed strap bars which are machined in the body of the 42mm titanium case for greater robustness. Another distinctive feature is the 120-notch bidirectional bezel. Its retrograde graduation from 60 to 0 corresponds not to the ISO 6425-2018 dive watch standard but instead complies with the specific needs of combat swimmers who navigate underwater in successive timed sections, starting a new countdown whenever they change direction. Tudor’s own MT5602 movement delivers a robust construction, 70 hours of power reserve, and is chronometer-graded by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC). The single-piece fabric strap is handwoven on a nineteenth-century loom.
