Piaget Polo - 150th Anniversary watch
The fourth generation of the Piaget watchmaking and jewellery dynasty, Yves G. Piaget introduced the sport-chic Polo in 1979 to instant acclaim. In 2016 the brand revamped the Polo as a luxury stainless steel sports watch with a cushion case. For its 150th anniversary in 2024, Piaget has taken the gadroons of the historic, solid yellow gold model, revived as the Polo 79, and transferred them to the silky beige dial of the Piaget Polo - 150th Anniversary watch. Its cushion-shaped case comes in a 42mm diameter and a more compact 36mm size. Channelling its expertise in ultra-thin calibres, Piaget presents the smaller version in an 8.8mm thick case, with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel. Worn on a grey rubber strap, it is driven by the in-house 500P1 automatic calibre. A slim 3.6mm high, it supplies 40 hours of power reserve. Hour markers are set with diamonds and swept by gold-plated skeleton hands. To mark the 150th anniversary, the counterweight on the central seconds hand contains the number 150. Both models are proposed as a 300-piece limited edition.
