Portugieser Annual Calendar
In 2015, the year of the Portugieser watch at IWC, the brand rolls out a complication it had never produced to date: an annual calendar. Mid-way between a simple calendar and a perpetual calendar, it requires correction just once a year at the end of February. A clever system means this adjustment can be simply and easily made via the crown. The month, date and day of the week appear through apertures at 11, 12 and 1 o’clock, an “American-style” display that is a nod to F.A. Jones, the American founder of IWC.
