Promenade Goutte d’Eau
A natural evolution of the Quai des Bergues and Antarctique lines, the Promenade collection expresses Czapek's vision for watchmaking that is sophisticated, elegant and also playful. Its movement, the automatic SXH5, has also evolved since its debut in May 2020. Czapek and its engineers have reimagined its architecture, for no other reason than the aesthetics of the dial, by positioning the small seconds mechanism on the same axis as the time display. Immediately recognisable by the seven skeletonised bridges that hold the gear train in place – inspired by the pocket watches which François Czapek made in the nineteenth century –, the movement plates and bridges feature haute horlogerie finishes, including bevelling, straight-grained sides and hand-chamfered inner angles. Beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations/hour) and wound by a micro rotor in recycled platinum, the SXH5 supplies 60 hours of power reserve.
