Elegance, intuitiveness and legibility prevail in this new interpretation of the retrograde perpetual calendar. Bovet has chosen to house this complication in a "writing slope" case which, being inclined at 6 o'clock, allows a three-dimensional view of the dial. So as to ensure each indication can be read at a glance, hours and minutes are centrally positioned while the perpetual calendar information is set around the periphery. Except for the date, shown by a retrograde pointer rotating around the hours and minutes, all the calendar indications are given in apertures: vertical for the days and months; circular for the leap year cycle (at 3 o'clock). A patented coaxial seconds display is offset at 9 o'clock. Its mechanism is visible on the movement side, along with the indicator for the five days of power reserve. The hand-crafted decorations of the movement echo the virtuoso skill of Bovet's dial-makers who, through the emblematic blue circular-brushed finish and circular Côtes de Genève, offer yet another stunning demonstration of their vast expertise.
