Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater

Jaeger-LeCoultre brings a new visual expression to the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater, with Calibre 953. Newly developed and offering a 48-hour power reserve, Calibre 953 benefits from seven existing patents, including key innovations that enhance the quality of the chimes. They are trebuchet hammers, crystal gongs and elimination of the silent intervals between chimes. While both dials display the same time, they are very different in character. On the front dial, a hand-guilloché barley-seed pattern is covered with multiple layers of teal blue Grand Feu enamel while the reverse dial is fully skeletonised to reveal all the complexity of the repeater mechanism. This impression of visual depth and transparency is heightened by faceted indexes which, suspended from the railroad minutes track, appear to float above the mechanism. Supporting the hammers, the bridge that spans the breadth of the movement from 7 to 5 o’clock is decorated with blue lacquer, to echo the front dial. This rose-gold 30-piece limited edition is worn on an alligator strap that fastens with an adjustable folding clasp.
