Riviera Maréographe
Baume & Mercier presents its famed Riviera model in a 500-piece limited edition featuring a tide graph. This complication displays the time of low and high tides on a disc divided into four quadrants, knowing that high and low tides occur every 12 hours and 25 minutes. Depending on Earth's position, there can be a significant difference between the two high tides, hence the addition of a circle motif on the disc to indicate the highest of the two. This complication is built into a robust Baumatic automatic calibre which guarantees five days of power reserve and excellent resistance to magnetic fields. It sits inside a 43mm twelve-sided case in satin-polished stainless steel. Four sandblasted ADLC-coated steel bezel screws and a screw-in crown contribute to the watch's 100-metre water-resistance. The tide disc can be manually adjusted thanks to a pusher at 4 o'clock. Shades of blue carry on the nautical theme, with a blue dial complemented by a quick-change integrated strap in blue rubber.
