Themes: Design, Technical
Specificities: Skeleton, Sport, Tourbillon

Richard Mille debuted the RM 17-02 in 2022 in a TZP ceramic and red gold case, with white and blue versions limited to 30 pieces each. In early 2024, it followed up with a new iteration in white Quartz TPT®, also limited to 30 pieces. This latest release, in titanium, becomes the fourth rendition of the RM 17-02, which has echoes of the brand’s pioneering days in the early 2000s. The tonneau case (40.1mm x 48.15mm) stands 13.08mm high and contains the manual-winding RM 17-02 skeleton movement with indications of hours and minutes, a function selector and 70 hours of power reserve. Bridges have been given blue PVD and 5N gold treatments while the baseplate supporting the tourbillon movement, incorporating a variable inertia balance and fast-rotating barrel, is machined from grade 5 titanium and finished with a black PVD treatment. Openworked and lume-filled hour and minute hands extend to Arabic numerals on a laser-engraved base. A yellow stencil for the numerals accentuates the “old school” feel.
