Santos-Dumont XL Watch

Imagined by Louis Cartier in 1904 for his friend, the pilot Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Santos-Dumont watch lands in a significantly larger version, although its generous dial, square bezel with visible screws and form case retain the same sophisticated air. Nor has it lost its unmistakable attributes of sword-shaped hands, a beaded crown, the sunray satin finish on the dial and the initials S=D engraved on the caseback. Beating to the rhythm of a manually-wound 430 MC movement, this new release is issued as three editions, in pink gold, steel, or two-tone steel and pink gold. They can only be purchased from the Cartier website, a first for the brand.
