Seamaster Regatta Titanium

In October 2024, Emirates Team New Zealand sailed to victory in the 37th America’s Cup. The winning team were backed by Omega, also Official Timekeeper for the competition. To mark the race, the brand launched the Omega Seamaster Regatta which, unlike previous regatta models, is neither a mechanical chronograph nor an automatic watch with a regatta countdown on the dial, but part of the X-33 family that was originally developed, in 1998, as a tool for astronauts and features both digital and analogue displays. Previously associated with the Speedmaster, the X-33 thus enters the Seamaster collection in a 46.75mm grade 5 titanium case. Rated water-resistant to 50 metres, it has four pushers and a bidirectional blue ceramic bezel. Central digital and analogue displays of hours, minutes and seconds combine with round oversized luminous markers. Functionalities include moon phases at 3 o’clock, a chronograph, sailing logbook, temperature gauge, accelerometer, three alarms and, of course, a regatta function at 9 o’clock. Additionally, the volume of the alarms is amplified by a resonating cavity in the caseback. Powered by calibre 5701, the Seamaster Regatta supplies 31 months of power reserve and is accurate to ± 7 seconds a year.
