Engineered for maximum visibility, the tourbillon is the main attraction of this watch. Three years in development, this complication builds on Montblanc's patented idea to position the balance outside the tourbillon cage. Because it no longer carries the weight of the balance wheel, this Exo Tourbillon uses considerably less energy. So as to further accentuate visual impact, Montblanc's engineers have suspended the tourbillon from a bridge with just one arm. This three-dimensional effect is all the more striking given the imposing 14.5mm diameter of the balance wheel, and its position "floating" 3.2mm above the dial – with no increase in the size of the movement or the case. Proposed as a limited edition of 58 pieces in red gold and 28 with a diamond-set case.
