Tonda Chronor Anniversaire

Some watchmakers remain well aware of the important role the chronograph has played in the development of contemporary watchmaking. Michel Parmigiani is one. He commemorates the twenty years since the founding of Parmigiani Fleurier with this Tonda Chronor Anniversaire, the brand's first integrated chronograph. The high-frequency, 5 Hz movement is made from gold, with an integrated large date, vertical clutch and two column wheels: one for the chrono and one for the split-seconds hand. The chronograph is perhaps less delicate to produce than a tourbillon, it remains a major complication nonetheless. This anniversary Tonda Chronor is the reflection of two decades devoted to Fine Watchmaking.
